After Fight over Money, Two Indians Die in Australia, One Other Being Interrogated

Australian police is interrogating an Indian student in Perth over the death of two Indian brothers following a dispute over money, reported IANS citing media reports.

According to Perth Now report, detective Inspector David Bryson of the Major Crime Squad said that one of the victims came stumbling to close-by St John Ambulance depot seeking medical help and informed the medical staff about another injured man.

“Police have responded. They have found a deceased male (his 19-year-old brother) on the roadway,” he was quoted as saying.

“The person who initially went to St John’s (Ambulance depot) was transferred to Royal Perth Hospital. He subsequently died this morning,” Bryson was quoted as saying.

The Inspector also told that a 22-year-old person had been taken into custody in relation with the killing and he was being interrogated, said report.

“We have located a person of interest. He is currently in custody… At this stage, we have numerous inquires to complete,” he was quoted as saying.

“Essentially the information that we have got is there has been a dispute about finances. Essentially that’s it – there’s been a dispute about money and things have obviously escalated and it’s obviously taken a life of its own from there,””Australian news agency AAP reported quoting Bryson.

Report said citing a police spokesman that they believed that all the three men involved in the altercation were Indians.

“He will be questioned about the whole incident, what happened during the course of the evening, obviously what he’s involved in and where he has been since the time the person was found dead on the street,” Bryson was quoted as saying.
