Vikas Yatras are moving towards their goal: MP CM Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Vikas Yatras are moving towards their goal. Vikas Yatras have become a powerful means of giving benefits to the beneficiaries along with dedication, foundation stone laying, adding new beneficiaries and fulfilling the requirements of those who are in need. About 3 lakh 74 thousand 751 applications have been approved.

Chouhan was discussing with media representatives after planting saplings in the garden located at Shyamla Hills.

Chouhan said that the yatras have become purposeful due to the innovations at districts. Notably, work has been started in Alirajpur for the treatment of cataract by surgery and providing necessary equipment to elders with the help of the government. In Agar-Malwa, the campaign to make Samagra Cards and to provide benefits of government schemes and help to nomadic, semi-nomadic and denotified brothers and sisters is going on. In Katni, adoption of malnourished children and giving food kits to them, in Satna honouring the families of martyrs and freedom fighters, organising health camps and distribution of water health cards and in Datia ‘kachre par charcha’ campaign on cleanliness is being run in urban areas. In this discussion, counselling and training related to 3-R Reduce-Reuse and Recycle activities is being carried out.

Chouhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invoked for the creation of self-reliant India. We are making steady progress in this direction. India has achieved such a place in the world that from America to Russia, it is impossible to move without India. Madhya Pradesh is committed to fulfill the resolve of self-reliant India. Many activities are being conducted for self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. These works will not be completed with government efforts only. Every citizen of the state will have to contribute also.

Chouhan said that daughters of Madhya Pradesh are also doing inspirational works. Indore’s daughter Pooja Dubey has made mushroom from stubble and other products including flower pot, packaging material from waste material. She has also named her company “Beti”. This step of hers is very important from the point of view of environmental protection. Beti Pooja’s stall was also put up in the G-20 Group meeting and many representatives from India and abroad praised her initiative after getting information of her stall. This inspirational work of daughter Pooja is commendable.
