Monsoon along with COVID -19 one of the execrable combition, But we can still fight it out with with good immunity and maintainig social distancing.
Therefore, we need to be careful with what we eat and drink.
One should really be careful to what to consume during this trying times, enlisted are some valuable tips to help your during this time:
It’s better to opt for foods like Corn, Gram flour, Chickpea etc and shift from foods with high water contents like Lassi, Juices Watermelon, which may cause body to swell due to extra water.
– Opt for foods which have high amount of Fiber, Complex carbs and protein such as brown Rice, Multigrain Rotis & Oats.
– Drink boiled or filtered water to avoid water-borne infections.
– Vegetables like bitter gourd, and medicinal herbs like neem, tulsi, turmeric powder and methi seeds to boost your immunity.
– Eat a lot of fresh seasonal fruits like apples, mangoes, pomegranates, and pears as they help in restoring energy.
– Drink herbal tea, especially those with antibacterial properties. Examples Ginger, Pepper, Honey, Mint, Cinnamon, Lemon tea and basil leaves tea.
– Include Vitamin C rich foods into your diet such as green chillies, capsicum, guavas, lemons, amla, oranges to boost your immunity.
– Better to consume freshly cooked food steam or re-heat food before reconsuming.
– If you are suffering from arthritis, you may suffer increased pain during monsoons.To avoid this, you should drink warm water with tulsi and cinnamon on an empty stomach in the morning.
– Apply neem oil or coconut oil on skin before stepping outside.
