Shivpuri: Initiative to connect women with banking facilities in villages, BC Sakhis will promote digital transactions

Shivpuri district in banking transactions are being promoted by connecting women associated with MP Rural Livelihood Group through BC Sakhi. Sisters of the group have been selected as BC Sakhi in the district. These BC Sakhis will reach out to rural and remote areas and provide digital banking facilities to women and the elderly. With this, the people of rural areas will be able to get banking facilities while sitting at home.

The work of training these selected BC Sakhis has been started. Information related to digital banking was given to these BC friends at the office of MP Rural Livelihood Mission at Shivpuri district headquarters. Selected BC Sakhis are being given training related to banking, so that BC Sakhis can be made self-reliant. On the initiative of the Central Government, this training of didis of women’s groups is going on. After training, these women will do banking transactions in their respective gram panchayats. In this, BC Sakhi will be able to help the villagers in opening accounts of other schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, banking facilities including money transactions.

BC Sakhi Angoori Jatav told that I have taken the training of BC Sakhi and now I will do banking work in my village itself, so that the people of our villages will not have to go from village to bank anymore and this facility will be available in the village itself. Another BC Sakhi Ramsakhi Rawat told that we will provide payment facility to women in villages. Banking expert Shashi Singh of MP Rural Livelihood Mission said that banking transactions are being promoted by connecting women through BC Sakhi. Sisters of the group have been selected as BC Sakhi. These BC Sakhis will reach out to rural and remote areas and provide digital banking facilities to women and the elderly. With this, the people of rural areas will be able to get banking facilities while sitting at home.
