Yeddyurappa Aides Meet Advani

Feeling the heat turned on by dissidents, at least two top Karnataka BJP leaders considered close to chief minister BS Yeddyurappa met party patriarch LK Advani on Sunday.

Former MP Dhananjay Kumar and Karnataka Home Minister VS Acharya called on Advani and purportedly discussed the crisis in the state.

Both the leaders are in the capital to present Yeddyurappa’s side of the story and convince the central leadership against any change in the chief minister’s office, as sought by the faction led by the Bellary brothers – Janardhan Reddy and G Karunakar Reddy.

Kumar and Acharya had met BJP general secretary Ramlal on Saturday, they later claimed to have been assured that Yeddyurappa would continue as chief minister.
