Two road accidents took 41 lives in Himachal Pradesh

On Thursday Himachal Pradesh Police confirmed that around forty-one people were killed and seven others were injured in two separate accidents in the state’s Chamba District.

On Wednesday night around 32 persons were killed of a marriage party, when a canter in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge near Shekhpur late. In the second accident, nine persons were killed, when a pick-up van rolled into a ditch near Bharmaur, around 65 kilometers from Chamba on Wednesday night. The dead were employees of a same company and were returning home after completing their night shifts.

The wedding attendants were going in a tanker from Chaura to Shekhpur. During the journey thirty people lost their lives on the spot while two others succumbed later.

Another five people who have been injured admitted to the RP Government Medical College, Tanda in Kangra District, while a sixth injured has been admitted to a Pathankot Hospital.
