Surrender Policy for Militants Will Encourage Secession: BJP

Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP has expressed surprise over chief minister Omar Abdullah’s surrender policy for militants held across LoC, saying that this will only encourage secessionism and terrorism in the state, reported PTI.

“Bringing back trained ultras is a very serious matter, and this would have many legal and other complications as several of them have not only received training in terrorist activities but also have families there,” Gupta, BJP leader, was quoted as saying in a statement.

Gupta said that union home minister P Chidamabaram is supporting the move ignoring the fears of former chief minister and union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, said report.

While taking a dig at Chidambaram’s remarks that PoK is legally a part of India, the BJP leader said that that part of state is under control of Pakistan and has been used for sixty years for subversive activities against India, said report.
