Delhi to Be Foggy till January End: Weatherman

The thick fog shrouding national capital New Delhi is expected to continue till January-end, reported IANS quoting weatherman.

Report said that visibility again dipped to almost zero on Saturday. The dense fog has been affecting air and rail traffic over past over couples of days.

“Respite is unlikely at least for another week,” the India Meteorological Department (IMD) official was quoted as saying.

“Dense fog Saturday morning caused visibility to drop to zero for many hours early in the morning. General visibility slightly improved by 9 am and was recorded at less than 100 metres.”

“These weather conditions will remain at least till January-end,” the official was quoted as saying.

On Saturday, a minimum of 7.7 degree Celsius temperature was recorded, a notch below average for this time of the year. The report said that the day time temperature was likely to reach 21 degree Celsius.

On Friday, a maximum of 18.6 degree Celsius temperature was recorded, two degrees below average.
