Six Killed in Katni Roof Collapse

Six people were killed when the roof of an under-extension three-storied house collapsed in the wee hours of Thursday in the Katni town of Madhya Pradesh, the district administration has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

According to the police, a fourth floor was being added to the old three-storied structure at the time of the incident.

Swift rescue action, initiated by the distract administration and the municipal corporation, rescued some 23 people trapped under the debris, six others, including the house owner and his two sons were killed on the spot.
