Six injured, one killed in Nigeria

KANO (NIGERIA): In the coordinated bomb attacks targeting police stations and the headquarters of Nigeria’s secret police, Indian embassy has confirmed this morning that one Indian has been killed and six others injured in the Muslim dominated northern city of Kano. The embassy has also issued travel alert warning to Indians.

Approximately 162 people were killed and several others were injured when militants launched a series of terror attacks.

Governor of Kano State Rabiu Kwankwaso has imposed a 24-hour curfew after the bodies, including those of several policemen, were found scattered all over the the state capital.

On Saturday Nigeria’s second-largest city exploded into violence.
