Seven People Die of Swine Flu, Death Toll Reaches 351 in Country

The swine flu death toll has soared up to 351 in the country, with seven people, including four from Maharashtra, dying of the dreaded disease on Monday.

Union Health Ministry revealed that the number of H1N1 cases in India, too, has exceed the 11,000 mark.

Besides, four casualties from Maharashtra, one swine flu death each was reported from Haryana, Delhi and Karnataka. Now, death toll has reached 143 in Maharashtra, 15 in Delhi and four in Haryana.

There is not detail available about Haryana and Maharashtra deaths, in Delhi the fifteenth victim was a 27-year-old woman, who died at the Safdarjung Hospital.

She was suffering from rheumatic heart diseases and had undergone treatment at the Escort Heart Institute before being shifted to the Safdarjung Hospital.

In addition, Delhi reported 27 fresh cases taking the total number of infection so far to 2920. However, around 90 percent of them have been cured completely. Of the fresh cases, 15 are children.
