Sena BJP MPs Walk out of Chavan Convened Meet

Walking out of a meeting convened by Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, Opposition Shiv Sena-BJP MPs on Monday accused the state government for allegedly failing to act on Central intelligence inputs of a possible terror strike in Pune, say reports.
The meeting, convened by Chief Minister Chavan to discuss developmental issues to be raised by the MPs in parliament, began with a tribute to those killed in the ghastly bombing at the German Bakery in Pune on Saturday.
“We told the Chief Minister that the state government had failed to act on alerts given by Central government and instead, it deployed huge police force for Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Mumbai and to ensure release of Shah Rukh Khan’s film,” Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire was quoted as saying by PTI news agency.
Khaire further claimed: “The opposition MPs told the chief minister that the government has deployed thousands of police to guard Rahul Gandhi and SRK’s film but left the common man without security.”
Around 18 Sena-BJP members present at the meeting walked out soon after it began, alleging the government had failed to protect the common man, he said.
