NEW DELHI: On Thursday the Supreme Court has appointed a five-member panel to suggest preservation and security of the treasure unearthed at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple of Kerala.

The committee will be headed by Director General of National Museum and will consist of representatives from the Reserve Bank of India and the Archaeological Survey of India.

The Court has told media not to speculate on the worth of assets of the temple before its valuation is done.

The apex court did not say anything on the opening of the unopened B vault.

The court had earlier reserved its order on the question of permitting inventory, videography and providing fool proof security to the temple treasure.
