Relieve Workers for Civic Body By Polls: Labour Commissioner

Bhopal – Madhya Pradesh Labour Commissioner has issued instructions to factories, shops and commercial establishments of the concerning areas to relieve workers on Thursday, July 1, 2010 to enabling them to cast their franchise in areas where civic body by-elections (first half) are to be held as per the schedule announced by the State Election Commission.
As per the instructions, workers/labourers may be relieved by changing their weekly off.
Those working in shifts may be given two-hour lay-off, enabling them to cast their vote.
Similarly, workers of shops and commercial establishments may be given leave by changing their weekly off.
On July 1, by polls are scheduled to be held for Ward No. 14 of Sagar Municipal Corporation, Ward No. 25 of Shajapur Nagar Palika Parishad, Ward No. 11 of Sironj Nagar Palika Parishad in Vidisha district and 8 wards of Kolar Nagar Palika Parishad, Bhopal.
The voting will be held from 8 am to 5 pm.
