SDPI Names Interim Committee for MP

Bhopal  —   Ahead of crucial civic body polls in the state in November, the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has announced the formation of its ad hoc committee for Madhya Pradesh, under the leadership of party state unit chief Sajid Siddiqui.

Speaking to correspondents on the occasion, party national general secretary A Sayeed listed constitutional provisions for social justice, liberty, equality and fraternity as the primary objectives behind the recent formation of the party.

Sayeed informed that party president – E Abubacker will release the party vision document at a conclave of SDPI national delegates in New Delhi on October 18.

Party central committee member, Maulana Usman Beg said that the SDPI without prejudice welcomes people from all castes and religions to its fold and will strive for the uplift of the under-privileged classes.

While Siddiqui heads the committee, the other office-bearers on the panel include state vice president Ishratullah Khan (Gwalior), general secretary, Abdul Rauf (Indore), secretaries, Irfanul-ul-Haque (Jabalpur) and Mohammed Saleem, (Indore) and Akhtar Ali Ansari (Sheopur).
