Raje Leaves out Meeting with Venkaiah

The BJP is not over its crisis yet, with Vasundhara Raje leaving out her scheduled appointment with senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday and sending her son Dushyant instead.
The dissident leader from Rajasthan was slated to come to Delhi for a meeting with Nadiu, the person appointed by the party to mediate with her, to try and put to an end the deadlock with the party leadership.
The BJP has asked Raje to resign as the leader of the opposition in the state assembly, owning up responsibility for party’s defeat in the last elections.
It should be noted that the BJP has been in a bind over how to give Raje an honourable exit and how to end the rebellion in its Rajasthan unit.
Raje had said that she would obey the central leadership, saying she was a ‘disciplined soldier’ of the party and its order was ‘supreme’ to her.
Raje had also said that she was planning to meet RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
She is likely to submit her resignation today.
