After yesterday’s train derailment triggered by Maoists, the Railway Board has decided to stop night services of trains in certain sensitive parts of West Bengal till June 1 as rebels are observing a black week since Thursday midnight, said media reports.

Talking to a news channel, South Eastern Railway officials said that passenger train services on the Kharagpur-Rourkela and Kharagpur-Adra sections have been suspended at night, reports said.

They said that now trains would not be allowed to ply on these routes between 10 pm to 5 am, said reports.

In the meanwhile, rescue workers continued to rummage the wreckage throughout Friday night at the accident spot near Jhargram.

Officials have said that toll might rise further.
