Prestigious institutions invited to establish private universities in MP
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has called upon prestigious educational institutions to establish private universities in Madhya Pradesh. He said that establishment of private universities in Madhya Pradesh is the need of hour for expansion of quality education.
The Chief Minister was addressing annual prize distribution function of Daly College at Indore today. Chairman of Board of Governance of Daly College Shri Tukojirao Pawar and Principal Shri Sumer Singh were also present on the occasion. Shri Chouhan felicitated Old Dalians who have excelled in various sectors and gave away prizes to talented students of the college.
Shri Chouhan said that talents should be given opportunity to come forward. State government is providing every possible cooperation to provide opportunities to them at every level. He said that a Rs. 100 crore Capital Venture Fund is being established in the state to extend help to entrepreneurs working on innovative ideas.
The Chief Minister said that India is an ancient country. It boasted of educational institutions like Nalanda and Taxila, which had glorified India’s name in the world in ancient times. Shri Chouhan said that the world has now started recognizing Indian principles, knowledge and science. Recently, United Nations has recognised importance of Yoga and declared June 21 as World Yoga Day. The decision to observe Yoga Day was supported by 177 countries.
The Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of talents in Madhya Pradesh. It is endevour of the state government to ensure that no talent is suppressed due to lack of facilities and opportunities to come forward. Youths of the state will be sent to prestigious coaching centres in Delhi, Mumbai etc. to prepare for all-India competitive exams. Expenditure on it will be borne by the state government. State government is given guarantee against education loan being provided to students in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also inaugurated The Mandloi Fitness Centre at Daly College. Expressing consent over proposal put forth by Daily College to establish a university, the Chief Minister said that the state government will extend every possible cooperation in this.
