PM Expresses Regret over Kidney Patietn’s Death in PGIMER

In a letter written to the wife of a 32-year old kidney patient who died during his visit to PGIMER, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has expressed regret over the restrictions because of which the man could not get fast access needed for medical treatment at the moment.

Taking serious note of inconvenience that VVIP security movements cause to public, Singh said that he has issued instructions to make sure that officials take care to be “more sensitive” to the concerns of the common man while making security arrangements.

In a letter to the wife of the deceased 32-year-old kidney patient, the Prime Minister said, “I am writing to you to express my profound sense of sadness at the death of your husband Shri Sumit Verma yesterday.”
