New conditions for collector’s release

On Wednesday afternoon Junior engineer Pabitra Mohan Majhi was released as per the agreement reached by the government during the negotiations with mediators, chosen by rebels.
After releasing the abducted junior engineer and days of negotiations with the Orissa government, Maoist put forward new conditions for the release of Malkangiri district collector R V Krishna.
For the release the government had fulfilled 14 demands of the Leftist rebels including release of their jailed comrades.
The mediators informed that they are surprised with the development and the fresh demands made by the rebels, in a press conference late Wednesday.
