More than 11,000 students will appear in the CAT online retest scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday in different centres across India, reported Headlines Today.

The retest is being organized after the first ever online CAT was marred by technical snags and cancellations.

However, still Prometric, the company responsible for administering the test, has not pledged snag-free tests this time, too, said report.

It may be mentioned that nearly 40 per cent of the candidates who are being offered a retest couldn’t take the test during the 11-day testing window after tests were cancelled.

In addition, 400 others who had experienced disruptions while taking the test will take retest, said report.

According to Prometric, out of the 11,050 students who have been offered the test, only 9400 will write the retest as 1,625 have decided to retain their earlier scores, report said.
