Maoist Couple Held in Andhra

A Maoist couple has been taken into custody from Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh, said media reports citing police.

The couple had entered the state from neighbouring Chhattisgarh, reports said.

Police said that M Deva alias Devanna, an area committee member of Kunta in Chhattisgarh and his wife Jogi, were arrested from Palvoncha on the district outskirts this morning when they were found moving in a suspicious manner, said reports.

Police said that the arrested couple is being interrogated and further details are awaited, reports said.
