Avni Vaish to be New Chief Secretary

Bhopal  —  Avni Vaish, a 1975 batch IAS officer, will be the new Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh, said media reports citing officials on Thursday.

Vaish, currently on deputation with the center, takes over from Rakesh Sahni, who retires later this month.

The state government has written to the Union Government seeking his repatriation to Madhya Pradesh, the reports added.
