Jet Flight Delayed as Passenger Threatens to Blow Up

High drama prevailed at the Varanasi airport after a passenger threatened to blow up the Jet Airways flight from Delhi to Khajurao.

The passenger being identified as VRK Singh threatened to blow up the plane, following an altercation with some co-passengers.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) took the passenger into custody and questioned him for over two hours. He was let off after the questioning.
The flight was cleared for departure to Khajurao after extensive checking of the aircraft.

A Jet Airways spokesperson said the flight was delayed due to questioning of “certain guests” on security concerns by the airport authorities as well as security agencies.
