Indo-Pak FM Talks Likely to Focus on Terror, Not Kashmir: US

The US feels that Foreign Ministers level talks between India and Pakistan next month will focus on terror and Mumbai terror attacks probe and that Kashmir issue won’t be the part of the agenda, said media reports.

“I don’t think Kashmir is really the question that’s on the table now,” Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Robert Blake was quoted as saying.

He said that at the moment, the real question is to attain some progress on the trail of the Mumbai terror attacks suspects already in custody and also see some progress by Pakistan on checking Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and other Punjab-based terrorist groups against India, reports said.

“I think those are really the redlines that they’ve established for really establishing or reestablishing their composite dialogue,” Blake was quoted as saying.
