Indira Awas Yojma Funds to be Credited to Beneficiary Accounts

Bhopal – Sanctioned funds under the Indira Awas Yojana will now be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries said Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Bhargava, he was chairing a meeting of the departmental advisory committee in the state capital on Monday.
The minister issued the directives in response to suggestions put forth by committee members, the sanctioned amount was earlier transferred to the Panchayat account.
With a view to curbing irregularities in muster rolls under NREGS, ensuring evaluation of works within the stipulated period and timely payment of wages, the meeting further decided to set a one month deadline for updating the MIS. The new process will ensure transparency in the implementation of the scheme.
Several other decisions were also taken at the meeting attended by MLA Yadvendra Singh, Abhay Kumar Mishra and Ramesh Dilip Bhatere and Principal Secretary Panchayat & Rural development, Secretary Ajay Tirkey among others.
