Financial Relief of Rs 10 to Kin of Officer, Pilots Killed in Air Crash: Rosaiah
The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a financial assistant of Rs 10 each immediately to the kin of security officers and pilots killed in a chopper crash on September 2 along with former chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
Acting chief minister K Rosaiah, after a high level meeting, announced that a financial aid of Rs 10 lakh each would be provided immediately to the family members of the principal secretary P Subrahmanyam, chief security officer ASC Wesley, group captain SK Bhatia and co-pilot MS Reddy.
“This amount is only an immediate ex-gratia as a measure of relief as the circumstances are very special and they were serving officers to a serving Chief Minister,” Rosaiah said.
He further said that the chief secretary P Ramakanth Reddy has been directed to work out a comprehensive relief package including employment to the kith and kin of the bereaved officers and the package in this regard will be announced soon.
