November 9, 2009 Visionmp.com news service

David Coleman Headley, the alleged LeT operative who was arrested by FBI for conspiring to carry out terror attacks in India, had stayed in a hotel in south Mumbai during his visit to the city, said Mumbai police.

According to the police, during his visit to the metropolis Headley checked in a south Mumbai hotel not far from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, which was attacked by Pakistani terrorists during 26/11 terror strikes.

“We are in touch with the hotel authority and have sought information as to what personal details Headley had given before checking in the hotel,” the officer said.

It may be mentioned that Headley, 49, was nabbed by FBI last month at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport when he was going to board a flight to Philadelphia, intending to travel to Pakistan.

FBI also arrested Tahawwur Hussain Rana (48), a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin, or his alleged involvement in terror activities.
