Girl Stabbed to Death in Indore over Water Dispute

An 18-year-old girl Poonam Singh has been stabbed to death in Indore after an altercation at neighbourhood tubewell over drawing water, said media reports.

According to family members, She had gone to draw fetch water when their neighbour Hukum Singh stabbed her to death, said reports.

Two days ago, Hukum and other neighbours were prevented from drawing water from a hand pump which caters to needs of the people of the locality, reports said.

They said that Poonam was cleaning her teeth near the tubewell when Hukum, before she could understand anything, knived her and ran away from the town, said reports.

A case of murder was registered against Hukum Singh.
