Bank account of one women of every family to be opened under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana

Bhopal: Bank account of one women of every family will be opened compulsorily under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana. Through door-to-door contacts, bank employees will ensure that every family has a bank account. This was stated by Minister for Foreign Affairs Smt. Sushma Swaraj at a programme at village Sudania in Budhni Vidhan Sabha constituency. She said that women will be empowered through this scheme and socially deprived sections will be brought to the mainstream of development. Smt. Swaraj announced Rs. 10 lakh from MP’s Fund for development works in the village.

Revenue & Rehabilitation Minister and in-charge of Sehore district Shri Rampal Singh said that the state government has implemented a number of public welfare schemes under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Development works worth crores of rupees inaugurated and found stones laid

Minister for Foreign Affairs Smt. Swaraj laid foundation stones of 18 development works costing Rs. 3 crore 5 lakh and inaugurated 4 works completed at a cost of Rs. 46 lakh 80 thousand. At Kachnariya village, Smt. Swaraj inaugurated various works costing about Rs. 2 crore 5 lakh. He distributed cheques of about Rs. 3 lakh to 16 beneficiaries.

MARKFED’s Chairman Shri Ramakant Bhargava, Sehore Zila Panchayat Chairman Shri Dharmendra Singh Chouhan, MLAs Shri Vijay Pal Singh, Shri Rajendra Singh Rajput, Shri Guruprasad Sharma, Shri Ramkishan Chouhan, Shri Ramesh Saxena, Shri Raghnath Singh Bhati and Shri Ravi Malviya with other public representatives and large number of common people were present on the occasion.
