Five Die in Road Mishap in Raisen

In a road mishap, five persons, one of them a woman, were killed and two others severely wounded when two motorcycles rammed into each other at the Sultanganj-Silwani road in Raisen District, reported PTI citing police.

Police said that the accident occurred last night in which four persons were killed on the spot while the woman succumbed to her injuries in a hospital at Sagar, said report.

Report said that the deceased were identified as – Karan Singh Dangi (50) of Pipliya Bicholi village in Sultanganj area, Rakesh Vyas (26), Ashok Adivasi (30), his wife Lalita Bai (26) and their three-month-old daughter, all residents of Tekapar village (Sultanganj), they said.

According to police, the infant was found dead under a close-by culvert following the mishap, said report.

Police said that the injured were rushed to Bhopal’s Hamidia Hospital where their condition was stated to be critical, said report.
