Fire, again in a commercial area of Mumbai

MUMBAI (PTI): Late Friday evening a major fire broke out at a commercial complex housing a number of corporate offices in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area insuburban Andheri.

Fifteen fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames.

According to chief fire officer H N Mujawar, the fire started at a canteen located on the sixth floor of Akruti Trade Centre and soon spread on the seventh floor.

No casualties were reported in the incident, he said, adding. Even though the exact cause of the fire was not known.
Fire brigade officials said that may be short-circuiting could have triggered the blaze. Efforts are on to bring the fire under control.
