84 MoUs worth Rs. 1201 crore signed at MSME conference
Bhopal: As many as 84 MoUs worth Rs. 120 crore 37 lakh were signed during the conference of Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME) of Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions here today. These will provide jobs to about 6,500 persons. Besides, 106 industrialists have expressed interest in investment under which Rs. 577 crore 81 lakh investment is proposed with possibility of jobs to about 11,500 persons.
Facility of interaction and dialogue between small industrialists and foreign buyers has also been provided. Three successful small entrepreneurs have been invited to share their experiences. They will state as how they started their enterprises at micro level and then expanded it successfully.
At the conference today, maximum 34 MoUs were signed in engineering sector with proposed investment of Rs. 143 crore 10 lakh and jobs to over 1400 persons. In the food processing sector, 22 MoUs worth about Rs.405 crore were signed promising jobs to over 22,000 persons. As many as 14 MoUs worth over Rs. 35 crore investment and jobs to over 250 persons were signed in the plastic and chemical sector. Besides, one MoU was signed in textile sector, 2 in health, 4 in pharmaceuticals, 2 in minerals, 3 in warehousing & logistics and 2 MoUs were signed in herbal sector.
Industries Minister Shri Vijaywargiya visits Exportech: Today itself, the 5th Reverse Buyer-Seller Met Exportech got underway at Hotel Amer Green. It will last three days. Commerce and industries Minister Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya went round the stalls at the Exportech, held discussions with entrepreneurs and sought information regarding their products’ specialities.
Buyers from various countries have come to the Exportech. fter seeing products and holding discussions with concerning entrepreneurs, foreign buyers will enter into export agreements. The country from where buyers have come include Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso (Western Africa), DR Congo, Ghana, Malaysia, Republic of Cameroon, South Koera, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tanzania, UAE, Uganda, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Thailand, United States of America, UK, Brazil, Israel and Senegal.
Foreign dignitaries: Ambassadors/high commissioners of various countries are participating in the Exportech. These countries include Afghanistan, Algeria, Argentina, Benin, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Congo, Eritrea, Gabon, Lesotho, Namibia, Niger, Seychelles, Slovakia, South Africa, Tajikistan, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda and Yemen.
