Emran Hashmi Refused House; Actor Cries Discrimination

Bollywood Actor Emran Hashmi has complained that he is being prejudiced against for being a Muslim. He has been looking for a house in the posh Pali Hill but a housing society he approached refused.

According to media reports, Emran believes that the housing society is discriminating against him for he is a Muslim.

The actor has now formally filed a complaint with the State Minorities’ Commission, demanding action against society members.

The society reportedly refused to give him a no-objection certificate even after he had paid the token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

This is not the first time that an actor in Bollywood has faced such problems. Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Aamir Khan had also in the past been refused houses in particular localities.
