200 Students to Get Loans for Higher Education

Bhopal  —  The state government has fixed the limit of guarantee for loans given to students for pursuing higher education.

The state government introduced a guarantee scheme for loans for higher education for eligible students who have taken admission in the year 2009-10.

As many as 200 students will be given such guarantee by the state government.

Of these, 100 students will come from the medical stream (including AYUSH), 60 will come from the technical stream and 40 candidates will be drawn from the other higher education streams.

These guarantees will also cover students going abroad for pursuing higher education. The number of such students, however, will not exceed 20 per cent of the students covered under the scheme.
