Rajnath Confident of NDA Victory in J’khand

Sounding certain of a NDA majority in Jharkhand, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh on Tuesday nullified speculations of a post poll arrangement with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).

Addressing the media in Ranchi, Singh said the question of support “does not arise at all. I have repeatedly said the NDA will get a majority to form a government on its own.” He was responding to queries on the possibilities of a post poll arrangement with the JMM.

He said that a stable government committed to fast progress was required in in the state and listed eradication of poverty and employment as the primary concerns for the NDA.

Singh claimed that the BJP could provide the state with a stable government.
He said that he had urged voters to give a befitting birthday gift to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee by giving a decisive verdict in favour of the NDA.

The final round of voting in the five phase polls in the state is scheduled for December 18, the poll results will start coming in soon after counting begins on December 23, Vajpayee celebrates his birthday on Christmas day (December 25).
