Delhi High Court rejects bail plea

NEW DELHI: on Monday Delhi High Court has rejected DMK MP Kanimozhi’s bail plea in the 2G scam. She has asked for relief in the bail application to the Court, on the grounds of looking after her school going child.

Justice OP Saini Special CBI Court judge, had earlier rejected Kanimozhi’s bail citing the enormity of the 2G scam and the fact that witnesses might be influenced incase she was on bail.

In the CBI chargesheet Kanimozhi has been named as a co-conspirator in the 2G case. She has been charged with receiving kickbacks worth Rs 214 crore and conspiring with former telecom minister A Raja aslo.
