CPM Leader BP Sonia No More

Following a prolonged illness, member of CPM’s Madhya Pradesh Committee BP Sonia died on Wednesday at Gwalior, reported PTI.
A party statement said that Sonia, 70, had been suffering from blood cancer, said report.
Sonia, who had been to prison for 19 months during Emergency, had declined to take pension given to the Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA) detainees.
State CPM secretary Saroj Badal paid floral tributes to the mortal remains of the departed leader, report said.
