Court Adjourns Hearing on Rathore’s Plea till March 10

In Ruchika molestation case, a Chandigarh court hearing appeal by former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore against the six month term has adjourned the proceedings till March 10 noting that Rathore was still recovering from the assault on him two days ago, said media reports.

Deferring the hearing, Additional District and Sessions Judge R S Attri said that the court would take up the case for hearing on three consecutive days from March 10, said reports.

Both Rathore and his lawyer-wife Abha were present during the proceedings, reports said.

A 29-year-old youth from Varanasi Utsav Sharma had attacked Rathore with knife on Monday when he was coming out of the court.

In the incidence, Rathore’s counsel N D Sharma had also sustained minor injuries in the attack and both had to be treated in a hospital.
