Cong to Form Govt in Maha, Arunachal, Hung Assembly in Haryana

The congress party will form government in Maharashtra for a third consecutive term and also in Arunachal Pradesh but Haryana assembly seems to be heading towards a hung verdict.

The Congress-NCP combine is set to come back to power in 288-member Maharashtra assembly. The combine which won 140 seats finished with 147 seats this time.

BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is ahead only on 91 seats, far behind its previous tally of 116. MNS is leading on 12 seats, third front 11 and others 27.

In Arunachal Pradesh, Congress is heading for a win. It is ahead in 40 seats of 60-member assembly. In outgoing assembly, it had 34 seats.

The Trinammol Congress is maintaining lead in 5 and NCP in 6 seats.BJP has won 2 seats while others are ahead in 4 constituencies.

However, Haryana where congress party won 9 out of 10 seats in Lok Sabha elections and where assembly elections have bee advanced by over seven months is heading for a hung verdict.

The Congress is ahead in 40 seats of this 90-member assembly. It may have to look for support from rebels and independents who were ahead in 9 seats. INLD is leading in 32 seats, HJC 7 seats, BJP 4 seats and other 7 seats.
