Covid-19 vaccination, testing at paddy centres
Screening, vaccination and testing facilities for Covid-19 will be ensured at paddy procurement centres in Chhattisgarh, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain announced on Tuesday.
A list of travelers coming from abroad should be sent regularly from the state level to the District Collectors. Effective action be initiated at the level of the district.
Jain was holding a virtual meeting of Commissioners, Inspector Generals of Police, District Collectors, Superintendents of Police and Chief Medical Officers of all the divisions of the state, an official communication said.
He reviewed necessary preparations for protection against new variants of Covid-19, arrangements at the paddy procurement centres and preparations for organizing state level ‘Manas Mandalis’ and other events.
Jain said travellers coming to Chhattisgarh from abroad should be duly monitored. The home quarantine, if found positive, should lead to genome sequencing and treatment must follow.
He said, check-up and vaccination camps should be organized regularly in the paddy procurement centres. Arrangement for screening and vaccination of farmers coming to sell paddy in these camps should be put in place.
