Religion means imbibing qualities of humanity

Bhopal: Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav has said that religion means imbibing qualities of humanity. He urged people to become religious in true sense. Objective of religion is to build a humane society free from casteism and regionalism. The Governor was addressing religion lovers at a Bhajan recital programme at Shri Maa Adishakti Peeth Karunadham Ashram here today. The melodious bhajans were rendered by Rajan-Sajan Mishra.
Governor Shri Yadav said that Indian religious teachings have become more relevant during present times when entire world is gripped by hatred, separatism, terrorism and communalism. He stressed the need to widely publicise positive aspects of human values enshrined in religion.
Shri Vinay Upadhyay gave details of services being rendered to suffering humanity and the poor by Karunadham Ashram by following Indian religious values. Governor Shri Yadav lavished praise on the Ashram for rendering service to society and humanity.
Earlier, Governor Shri Yadav inaugurated Bhajan evening by lighting a lamp and garlanding a portrait of late Maharaj Shri Bal Govind Shandilya. Shri Rajesh Shandilya, Shri Rakesh Shandilya, Shri Umesh Premchandani and Shri Suhsil Billore of the Ashram welcomed the Governor.
Pujya Pandit Sudesh Shandilya Maharaj, Home Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta, Leader of Opposition Shri Ajay Singh “Rahul Bhaiyya” and others were also present on the occasion.
