B.Ed Counselling Concludes Tomorrow; Access Transaction ID

The online counseling for B.Ed for session 2008-2009 comes to an end on January 28, said reports.

The students who are yet to get their transaction ID should submit the slip they received when they submitted their application form way back in July 2008, said sources.

In the event the slip has been lost, they should mail their admission number, name and father’s name on their mail ID on mponline portal, said sources.

The one-year session 2008-09 for B.Ed course will commence on February 15. Endorsing the decision Higher Education Minister Laxmikant Sharma has instructed officials to conduct the online counselling for admission to B.Ed course from January 15.

Sharma has instructed to ensure studies as per academic calendar.

The registration process for B.Ed session 2008-09 had been completed in July 2008. But a court order had postponed the counselling process.

The counselling will be held from January 18 to 28. Following this, list of colleges will be called as per preferences of the applicants.

The process of allocation of college to applicant will begin from February 5 and B.Ed classes will commence from February 15, 2010.

The list of colleges recognised by NCTE and as per court order No. 6146 are available at web sites www.mponline.gov.in and www.mp.gov.in/highereducation.

The applications for admission registered earlier will suffice for admission process. The applicants, who have applied to get their registration cancelled, will not be eligible for admission. The entire process will remain available on above-mentioned website from 8 am from January 18, 2010.

Registered applicants can take part in the process through internet from their houses, cyber café or kiosks authorised by mponline.

Registered applicants can chose maximum colleges for admission as per order of preference. For logging on the web site, an applicant will have to use his registration number, transaction ID and his date of birth. No change can be made in the order of preference of colleges once it is made.

Seventy-five percent of seats in the institutions will be filled with domiciles of Madhya Pradesh and the rest 25 percent with candidates from outside the state.

The candidates from outside the state will not be entitled to avail the benefit of reservation while those who are domiciles of Madhya Pradesh will be given reservations as per rules.

The merit list of successful candidates will be published on the above websites on February 5, 2010 and seat allotment letters will be issued. Candidates no longer interested in getting admission to B.Ed can apply for refund on the website.
