Army Foils Infiltration Bid, Kills Two Militants

Thwarting their attempt to infiltrate into Indian side, the Army has gunned down two militants in Kupwara district, said media reports.
A defence spokesman said that a group of heavily-armed militants attempted to creep into the Indian side at Tangdhar, 140 km from Srinagar, reports said.
Noticing the movement of militants, army personnel challenged them with an encounter following in which two militants were killed, said reports.
The encounter was continuing when last reports came in.
