After the London airport opened up in the wake of wide-spread flight disruptions caused by volcanic ash cloud, Air India and Jet Airways are preparing to restart flights to the UK, reported PTI.

Nevertheless, Kingfisher Airlines has not taken any decision in the regard so far, report said.

According to report, authorities of Air India and Jet Airways said that they were ready to resume operations of flights as per their schedules.

However, they said that they could review the decision of resumption of operations in case of fresh influx of volcanic ash, report said.

The Indian carriers had stopped flights to Europeans destinations last Thursday.

A British Airways spokesperson said that Heathrow Airport in London opened for operations at 2 am IST today and all long- haul flight of the airline out of London would be resumed.

Air France and Lufthansa had yesterday operated flights from India to Paris and Munich after a six days of disruption but services to other European destinations had remained suspended.
