‘Power greedy’ Scindia proved himself ‘ordinary’, says Baghel

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel lashing out at Jyotiraditya Scindia for switching over to BJP on Thursday said Scindia showed he was an ‘ordinary’ human being.

While talking to reporters at Swami Vivekanand Airport Mana after returning from New Delhi, Baghel said they were thinking that Scindia was ‘outstanding’ but he (Scindia) proved that he was an ordinary person.

Reacting bitterly to the news of former union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia’s resignation from the party, Baghel further said Scindia betrayed trust of the people, as well as the ideology for which he worked till now.

“Real test of any person is only when you are in trouble and Scindia proved that he was an ordinary person by leaving the party in such a crucial time”, he said.

Baghel further compared him with a fish and said “Like fish can’t live without water, Scindia too proved that he was power hungry and left the Congress for fulfilling his greed of power”.

Replying to a query on Scindia’s comment that he (Scindia) joined BJP as he was unable to serve people being in Congress, Baghel said why he failed to recognize this while he was minister for ten years in the Union government.

He further termed the political happenings in Bengaluru a ‘murder of democracy’ and charged Congress MLA were made hostage there and were also refrained from meeting the family members.
