Sajjan Kumar acquitted in anti Sikh riots case

New Delhi: A trial court on Tuesday acquitted congress leader Sajjan Kumar in connection with 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. However, the other five accused were convicted for offences under section 302 (murder) of IPC entailing death penalty as maximum punishment. Petrol price cut by Rs. 3 per litre, effective from midnight

New Delhi: Petrol price was on Tuesday cut by Rs 3 per litre, effective from midnight. This is the third reduction in the petrol rates in the month of April. Petrol price was last cut by Rs 1 per litre on April 15. Earlier petrol rate was slashed by 85 paise a litre on April 2. Residential building collapse in France, 3 killed

Paris: Part of a five-storey residential building collapsed in the northeastern French city of Reims on Sunday, killing three people and injuring 14, officials said. The collapse may have been caused by a gas explosion, regional official Michel Bernard told media.
